Chair care

To keep your seating looking their best and functioning properly we recommend the following care procedures.

Swivel gaslift chairs

Chair upholstery should be vacuumed regularly.

The castors should be kept clear of threads or other objects that would inhibit their movement.

Plastic parts can be wiped clean with warm water and soap, or a mild citrus cleaner.

The mechanical parts of your Eden Office chair require little or no maintenance.

The gaslift contains pressurised gas and should not be tampered with in any way.

Café, visitor and community chairs

Chair upholstery should be vacuumed regularly.

Plastic and timber parts can be wiped clean with a smooth cloth dampened with warm water and soap, or a mild citrus cleaner. Any abrasive, or solvent or chemical-based cleaners, should not be used as these can damage the surface of the plastic or timber.

Dust metal parts with a smooth cloth. Warm water and soap can be applied, but the metal should always be properly dried.

Upholstery care

All chair upholstery should be vacuumed often and we recommend regular professional cleaning.

For spot cleaning, polypropylene/polyester fabrics can be wiped with a damp cloth and a mild citrus cleaner may also be used.

For spot cleaning, wool and wool-blend fabrics can be wiped with a solvent-based cleaner. Do not use a water-based cleaner as shrinkage may occur or a water stain may remain.

Vinyls and Tritan® fabrics can be cleaned with a mix of 5% household disinfectant and 95% water, or with a disinfectant sanitising wipe.

For leather upholstery a specific leather cleaner should be used.
